He attended Angelo State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, attended Sul Ross State University where he earned a Master’s degree in Education and then completed his Superintendent Certification through Angelo State University.

Mr. Ledbetter taught various sciences at the junior high and high school level and coached football, basketball, track, baseball and golf before moving into school administration. He was honored by spending a number of years back at home in Ballinger, Texas where he eventually became the high school principal. Mr. Ledbetter said “It was a great blessing and an honor to be able to teach, coach, and become an administrator at the school where I grew up. I worked with many of my friends and taught, coached and was the high school principal for many of their children.”

Mr. Ledbetter left Ballinger and came to San Angelo in 2009 for the inaugural year of Texas Leadership. His desire is to see the entire District become the vision of its founder. Mr. Ledbetter believes that even through the amazing growth and success that has happened at Texas Leadership to this point, the best is yet to come!

A note from Mr. Ledbetter…

“I am blessed to be a part of this amazing community and this fine school. I work with a great team and behind the scenes each day in administration is a group of people that work hard to make Texas Leadership a great place for your students. We sincerely appreciate you choosing our school and we hope that we can honor your choice by providing great opportunities for your students through academics and extracurricular activities that will prepare them for success when they leave us. I look forward to working with you and pledge to continue doing all I can each day to help our team become the best at what we do. It is an honor for me to serve you and your children.”
