Meet Our Principals
MEET DR. SARAH HERNANDEZ | HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Dr. Hernandez started her career in education at Trinity Lutheran EC-6th as a Spanish teacher. Upon graduating with a Bachelors in English and Spanish, she taught high school English and ESOL at Central High School. She quickly demonstrated her potential and willingness to take on new challenges. Her enthusiasm for her students and advocacy for students led her to becoming an At Risk Coordinator at Central High School. Over the past 14 years, Dr. Hernandez has taken on important leadership roles, including Elementary Principal, At Risk Administrator, and Assistant Principal most recently at Central High School.
Dr. Hernandez earned both her Bachelors and Masters at Angelo State University. Committed to learning, Dr. Hernandez recently earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Hardin-Simmons University. She has developed a reputation for her strong work ethic, advocacy for students, and ability to work effectively with others. As part of her commitment to learning, she has also presented at numerous educational conferences locally, at the state level, and at the national level.
In her personal time, Dr. Hernandez is committed to serving the community through volunteering in local non-profits. Currently, Dr. Hernandez is the Secretary for the San Angelo Road Lizards Running club, and a board member of the San Angelo Hispanic Heritage Museum. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, training for half and full marathon races, and is an avid Crossfitter.

MEET MS. ERICA SOTO | ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Erica Soto's journey in education has been defined by growth, service, and an unwavering commitment to students. She earned her undergraduate degree from Angelo State University, her graduate degree from The George Washington University, and completed the Texas Principal Certification Program at Angelo State University. Each step in her educational journey has strengthened her passion for serving students and supporting educators.
Throughout her career in education, Erica has been blessed to serve in a variety of roles, including High School Spanish and Emergent Bilingual Literature teacher, At-Risk Coordinator at a Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), DAEP Counselor, High School Counselor, Special Education Counselor, and most recently, Middle School Counselor. Each position has provided invaluable experiences and reinforced her belief that every student deserves to be seen, supported, encouraged, and challenged to reach their full potential.
Outside of school, Erica enjoys reading, writing, and exploring ways to intentionally choose peace and cultivate inner calm. As the founder of Blessed Zen, she creates faith-centered wellness resources for adults and children that promote emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth. She is passionate about combining her counseling background with practical strategies that help others discover lasting peace, purpose, and hope.
Above all, Erica treasures time with her family. Spending time with her three children and her four grandchildren is her greatest joy and serves as a constant reminder of what matters most. Her family inspires the compassion, dedication, and servant leadership she brings to her work each day.
