San Angelo High School | Information About The 2nd 6-Weeks Of Instruction

High School Families! Quick reminder that as we are moving into the 2nd 6-Weeks, we are still missing responses from families on whether they are choosing Face-to-Face instruction or Virtual Instruction.

Please click the link below to fill out your survey responses as soon as possible.

Moving forward, TLCA High School will offer two individual tracks of learning: Face-to-Face OR Virtual.

  • Face-to-Face instruction will take place Monday through Friday, (7:54 am to 3:33 pm, following your student's existing class schedule). Students attending Face-to-Face will not necessarily be learning via Google Classroom since they will be in person every day (although some teachers may continue to require it for Face-to-Face). If a student has a medical emergency that requires they leave the Face-to-Face model, they could be added back to the Google Classroom platform.

  • Virtual Instruction will be the same as it has been the First Six Weeks grading cycle, with each student logging into Google Classroom daily and completing attendance forms and classroom assignments for each class. Students need to understand that just logging in does not mean they are counted present. They must complete the attendance assignment to be counted present.

*Note: Once a learning track is chosen, the student must remain in that track for the duration of the Six Weeks grading cycle.

Virtual students will be required to complete a Secondary Online Learner contract and it must be signed by their parent or guardian as well as the student (found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc0GmdsTMT-75n3ZeC4bGYHbyW7udZJINrLBWjuog1Kf7f98A/viewform?usp=sf_link).
