Meet Our Principals

 

Meet Mrs. Tonne  |  Middle School Campus Principal

 

Mrs. Allison Tonne is the Principal of TLCA San Angelo Middle School. With 27 years in education, Ms. Tonne brings a wealth of experience, passion, and leadership to the role. A proud graduate of Angelo State University, she began her journey in education as a social studies teacher at Lincoln Middle School. Her dedication to students and commitment to growth led her to serve as Assistant Principal at Lake View High School, and for eight years as Principal at Paint Rock ISD.

 

Ms. Tonne is known for her belief in the power of relationships, her ability to inspire teams, and her unwavering focus on creating a positive and supportive school culture.

 

She is married and the proud mother of two adult children and a grandchild, and she brings both heart and vision to her role.

 

TLCA San Angelo is fortunate to have a leader who not only understands the value of academic excellence but also the importance of fostering a sense of community, connection, and purpose in every student’s life.

Meet Mr. Bryan Castro  |  Middle School Assistant Principal  

 

Mr. Bryan Castro has been in education for 13 years and has taught a wide range of subjects, including English-Language Arts (ELA), Science, and Spanish I, II, and III. He also brings a decade of coaching experience to his work. From 2013 to 2017, he served as the Head JV Football and Basketball Coach at TLCA. His professional journey includes teaching at San Marcos High School, where he was a Varsity Football Assistant and the Freshmen Head Basketball Coach for three years.

 

In addition to teaching and coaching, Mr. Castro has served in several leadership roles, including Academic UIL Coordinator and Junior High Athletic Coordinator. He is known for his willingness to step in wherever there is a need, embodying the spirit of a true team player who is committed to doing what is best for students.

 

Born and raised primarily in San Angelo, Mr. Castro attended Angelo State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English Literature. He later returned to ASU to complete a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as his principal certification.

 

Mr. Castro believes that education instills the value of pursuing one’s passions—whether in the classroom, in a career, or in life. He emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning, personal growth, and the constant drive to improve as essential components of success.
