TLCA Junior High Counselor

Krista Kain  |  Krista.Kain@tlca-sa.com  |  (325) 653-3200 x7202

I grew up in Midland and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. I received my undergraduate degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where I played tennis on a scholarship. I obtained my Master’s Degree at Sul Ross State University. From there, I worked in the mental health field for 10 years before working in a school District. I have been in the world of Education for over 20 years as a counselor, special education teacher, and a tennis coach.

My husband, Scott, and I have 5 children. We love sports, traveling, and most of all spending time with our children.  Our vacation time is usually spent somewhere near the water.

My goals are:

  • Counsel ALL students to fully develop their academic, career, personal, and social abilities.
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians, teachers, support staff and principals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of students unless there is a safety concern.
  • Be available to assist parents and students with school related concerns as needed.
  • Provide individual and group counseling as the need arises.
