Hey Eagle Families! My name is Krista Kain and I am the counselor at the TLCA San Angelo Junior High Campus. I have been in the world of Education for over 20 years as a counselor, special education teacher, and a tennis coach. I received my undergraduate degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where I played tennis on a scholarship. From there, I obtained my Master’s Degree at Sul Ross State University; and have worked in the mental health field for 10 years before coming to Texas Leadership.
I grew up in Midland, Texas where I attended and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. My husband, Scott Kain (who is also one of our coaches), and I have five children. We love sports, traveling, and most of all spending time with our kids. Our vacation time is usually spent somewhere near the water.
My goals are:
- Counsel ALL students to fully develop their academic, career, personal, and social abilities.
- Collaborate with parents/guardians, teachers, support staff and principals.
- Maintain confidentiality of students unless there is a safety concern.
- Be available to assist parents and students with school related concerns as needed.
- Provide individual and group counseling as the need arises.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping in any way that I can!
Mrs. Kain
